Haliewa and Waialua

f you're in a hurry and need to skip the scenic Windward Coast drive, take H-3 towards Wahiawa and go over the saddle road to Wailua and the North Shore. You're definitely in the country now.  Try Haleiwa for great shave ice, surf shops, and restaurants. If it's winter, watch out for the high surf - spectacular to watch but stay off the beach.
